Edward began studying violin at a private music school in the UK, with examinations through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. He successfully completed exams up to Grade 8 at age 18. Deciding against following further full time music study, he pursued a different career choice. However, he has played continually for many years in community orchestras, both in the UK and Canada. Edward is currently playing with the Calgary Civic Symphony.
Edward remains involved on a semi-professional basis with small groups for weddings and other functions.
Although he taught violin to beginner students from time to time over the years, he found it difficult to balance teaching and full-time work. Now having retired from full-time work, Edward has been teaching for over 6 years with Studio 9, which has included working with students through Royal Conservatory examinations (Grade 1 through Grade 7).
Edward is currently accepting students for private lessons.
